September 2017 Essential Rewards

A Look at September’s Essential Rewards order!!

September 2017 Essential Rewards

It has been a few months since I have shared the details of a monthly Essential Rewards order.  I love seeing what others are using and getting ideas to add to my wish list.  Living well, using great products, and sharing what we love, really is AWESOME!  My Essential Rewards order for September included NEW Savvy Minerals makeup, favorites, and as always some freebies!!

First, I want to talk a little bit about makeup.  I personally am really a minimalist when it comes to makeup.  You know just some bb cream, powder, blush, mascara, and maybe some subtle eyeshadow from time to time.  I fortunately have a sister-in-law that is a complete makeup guru and label reader too.  So, with her help, I was already using makeup that was considered ‘clean or safer’ from an ingredient standpoint.

THEN…earlier this summer Young Living launched Savvy Minerals.  This is a line of makeup products that are toxin-free.  These products are free of ingredients like parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, and many others that can cause endocrine and reproductive issues.  It is so important to be aware of what we are putting on our skin everyday.  Keep this in mind for yourself and all the budding makeup gurus in your house.  There are great products available, that are also safe!!

My sister-in-law offered to come and give me a little makeover using these new Young Living products.  I loved the look and feel.  Just natural, light weight, and at the end of the day, there was no shine and my makeup looked just like when we put it on that morning. ❤️

Here is what was in my Essential Rewards order this month…

Savvy Minerals Makeup

Savvy Minerals Foundation Powder

This Mineral-based foundation is buildable from sheer to full coverage.  I loved the all day flawless look and feel of this powder.  My color is Dark No. 1, though I will say the powder is super forgiving from a color standpoint.  See the bottom of this post for all the foundation powder colors.

Savvy Minerals Blush – Smashing

The perfect touch of color and just as long-lasting as the foundation powder.  All the shades are nice and just natural-looking.  There are three blush colors.  Smashing was the color for me.  All the available blush colors are shown at the bottom of this post too.

Favorites

Northern Lights Black Spruce

This smells so good.  I wear it on my wrists and it is one of my favorites to diffuse.  Feeling grounded sometimes is exactly what I need.

Cedarwood

Quality sleep is important to me and especially so during the school year.  Cedarwood alone or combined with Lavender, or Dream Catcher are diffuser favorites.

Thieves

Yep!  Just because we love it.  Diffused, applied daily, added to foaming hand soap.  Thieves is always a must.

Tranquil Roll-On

Another great oil for winding down for sleep.  The roll-on make this so easy to apply and easy enough for kids to roll right on themselves.  We love Tranquil for all the oils in this blend…Lavender, Cedarwood, and Roman Chamomile.

Essential Oil Bottle Labels

Organize // Organize // Organize!! ❤️

Free Oils

Oregano Vitality, Thieves Vitality, and Peace & Calming were my freebies for September based on my order volume.  To see all the free offerings still available with September orders, check out this post!

Essential Oils for focus

Homework Essentials

Essential Oils for focus

Does anyone else struggle to get their kids to sit down and do homework, after being at school all day?  The struggle is REAL at our house.  We do lots of different things to make this less painful for all of us.  Some days we wait a bit after school. We plan ahead and do a bit more on some days, so that on days we have other commitments, we don’t have too much going on.  I really try to be flexible, but we also know getting it done right away, allows for extra play or decompressing time.

For some help at homework time try diffusing Clarity and Peppermint together.  There are lots of other combinations that are helpful too, like…Frankincense + Lavender + Cedarwood.

Essential Oils for Focus

Some days we even just diffuse Joy or Stress Away because our attitudes just need a small shift and then the focus is there. 🙈 Creating an environment where learning is fun can be hard after so many hours at school and essential oils just seem to make it a little bit better. ❤️🍃📚

Many of these oils are part of the Premium Starter Kit!  Check it out, here!

Essential oils for nerves

Essential Oils for the Nervous Nelly!

Essential oils for nerves

For the ‘Nervous Nelly’ there are a lot of great Young Living oils!  I love using my essential oils for their calming and grounding properties.  Stress Away, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Lavender, Frankincense, Peace & Calming II, Valor II, Grounding, or Vetiver…are all good choices.   Apply a drop to the wrists, back of the neck, top of shoulders, bottom of the feet, or even just breathe in the aroma directly from the bottle.  Perfect for those of us that sometimes need the grounding! 😊 ❤️
