Cedarwood for skin and hair

Cedarwood for Skin and Hair…and MORE!

Cedarwood for skin and hair

For smoother-looking skin, add a drop of Cedarwood to your daily moisturizer. You can massage it into your scalp or add a few drops to your shampoo and condition, for a healthy-looking shine.

The warm, calming scent of Cedarwood also makes it a diffuser favorite for winding down at night.  One of my favorite diffuser combinations is 3-4 drops of Cedarwood and 3-4 drops of Lavender.

Cedarwood has also been known to help with mental focus.  I apply it on the bottom of the big toe of my kiddos before heading out the door to school.  You can also find Cedarwood in these other Young Living blends…Grounding, Highest Potential, and Brain Power.

Cedarwood essential oil is for skin and hair and even quite a bit more!

Peace & Calming

Peace & Calming | Essential Oil Use

Peace & Calming

Peace & Calming is the perfect essential oil blend for winding down each night and especially from a long week!  My kids love it before bed and I love it once the house is quiet.  One of my evening diffuser favorites for sure.

Due to the popularity and the seasonal component of one of the oils in the Peace & Calming blend, it goes out of stock from time to time.  Peace & Calming II is just as relaxing and calming, and usually always available.

When using topically, we apply to the bottom of the feet, wrists, or up and down the back.  I love about 4-6 drops in the diffuser, depending on the room size.  It smells so good!

Keep Calm and Carry On!

How to Use Essential Oils | Goodnight Sleep!

essential oil recipe for sleep

This little duo of Stress Away and Lavender is a house favorite for our bedtime routine.  After showers and baths, we start the diffuser and ‘oil up’ for a goodnight of sleep.

Diffuse

A great way to benefit everyone is to run a diffuser in the living room in the evening.   I add about 4 to 5 drops of each oil.  For our bedrooms, I like about 2-3 drops of each.  It smells really good and is perfect for winding down and relaxing.

Topical

One drop of each oil on your wrists, neck, behind the ears or the bottom of the feet.  For super fast and easy application, combine Stress Away and Lavender in a roll-on bottle with a carrier oil and apply.

If you ask my little guys what their favorite essential oil is…they both will say ‘Lavender.’  Kiddos love essential oils too!  Stress Away and Lavender both come in the Premium Starter Kit of everyday oils.

Goodnight, sleep tight, and sweet dreams!
