Laundry day essentials! Have you made the switch to wool dryer balls, yet? They soften your clothes naturally, reduce drying times, prevent static and wrinkles. They also eliminate toxic chemicals from being deposited on your clothes and body from dryer sheets and fabric softeners. Not to mention dryer sheets can take years to break down in landfills.

Dryer balls usually come in a pack of 3 or more, if you purchase them. Many people even make their own. Check out Pinterest and Youtube for some tutorials. I have had mine for quite a while now and they are still going strong.

Adding essential oils to the dryer balls is fun…you can switch up the scent as often as you like. I find that an application of an essential oil (2-4 drops) will scent 2 to 3 loads before I need to put more drops on the dryer balls. Lavender, Purification, or your favorite essential oil on your wool dryer balls are great choices to scent clothes naturally. Lavender and Purification are both in the Premium Starter Kit!!

Essential Oil Use | Stinky Smells!

I love my essential oils for many reasons. One of my favorite ways to use oils is in the diffuser. For me, gone are the days of chemical-laden air fresheners and disinfectants.

Purification essential oil is a great choice for eliminating any odors in the home, such as when cooking fish or seafood. You can diffuse or even make a homemade spray with your essential oil, water and salt (epsom or table) in a spray bottle. Another idea would be to put a few drops on a new furnace filter to circulate throughout the house.

I recently had the interior of our house repainted and ran my diffuser of Purification while the painters were painting. I used about 10-12 drops in the diffuser. This minimized the paint fumes and by the evening we could hardly smell the paint at all. The once ‘too dark’ living area was now light and bright! Don’t you love how paint can change a space?
